Ride Away Stigma Closing Ceremony – September 7, 2014 in the Dundas Driving Park

Ride Away Stigma Closing Ceremony – September 7, 2014 in the Dundas Driving Park
There are three options below if you would like to cycle.  You are also more than welcome to wait in the park to greet all the cyclists joining me as I finish my ride across Canada.
The area that has been reserved for the event is call the “cove” when you drive into the park it will be your first big grass area on your right hand side shaped in a horse shoe.  This area has a tree planted in memory of those lost to suicide.  In addition, the Ride Away Stigma vehicle and signage will be for ease of finding the spot.
For your eating and drinking pleasure we will be having an espresso bar by Domestique and a Food Truck. In addition we will have a table set up for sales of the Ride Away Stigma t-shirts.  For both the shirts and the food please be sure to bring cash.
Following the rides there will be a couple concluding speeches for the Ride Away Stigma campaign that I ask you to wait for before leaving. Speeches will begin around 11:45am as long as there is no bike trouble along the route.
Rides:
Option 1: Cycle from Guelph to the Dundas Driving Park with me at 9:30am sharp please arrive early to ensure we leave on time.
Approximately 50km from Guelph to Dundas Driving Park (2hrs at 25km/h)
People joining me in Guelph to ride into Dundas can meet in the parking lot on the corner of Victoria Road South and York Road.  The Guelph Grotto is a climbing gym on the corner if you want a frame of reference.
Option 2: Meet bike volunteers in the Dundas Driving Park at 10:00am to cycle out on the same route that we will be travelling in from Geulph.  I am estimating a speed of 20km/h and thus approximately 15km out and 15km back to the park.  However, I would be so happy for anyone who wants to join in, to feel that they can, so feel free to stop at any point along the route and join us as we arrive at your waiting point.  This way no one will be left behind.
Option 3: If you want to participate in cycling, however, want a shorter distance you can wait across the street from the Garden Gallery.  There is a big bus stop and grass area (please make sure you are not in the way of any buses). Once everyone comes in on his or her bikes you can join along to cycle the last few kilometers into the park. Please be there at11:10am to make sure you do not miss the group.
